[Samba] new error when upgrading :P "The semaphore timeout period has exp ired"

Im running Win2k and try to connect to my Linux (PARISC-Linux) HP B180L
running Samba 2.2.3
 
Samba:
./configure --prefix=/opt/samba --enable-debug --with-smbmount
make
make install
 
added swat settings in /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf
swat works fine..
 
I have added 2users to smbpasswd file located in /opt/samba/private
the username and password are identical to the one that i have on my win2k
box.

When try to start samba i get this error.

the deamon however is up and running..
 
then i try start->run->\\bonzo on my win2k box
after a few seconds i get and error box saying "The semaphore timeout period
has expired"
 
Do you have any idea?
