[Samba] Winbind config

Hi,

i´ve installed samba 2.2.2 with winbind. winbind was configured like winbind
howto on samba.org. I´ve successfully joined the samba server in the nt
domain. the name of the nt domain is different as the samba domain name (the
workgroup parameter). Now i can´t get the user list of the nt domain. why??
the modules are correct installed. 

i´ve joined the domain with smbpasswd but i´ve read that it is better to use
samedit! Is that right?? I can´t find this programm.

note: i´ve not cofigured the /etc/pam.d/* because i don´t want use
interactive logins!!
