[Samba] libcups.so.2 plus some general / opinion type questions (maybe newbie questions)

Why don't you download
and rebuild it on your system?
Chances are that the 7.3 binary rpm's would work on rh72 too directly.

libcups is part of cups-libs rpm which you can install without causing any
problem (install just cups-libs and not cups rpm)
