[Samba] Samba Windows domain and squid 2.5 stable1

Hallo list

	I was wondering if you have good pointers for me I wanna implement linux server (rh8.0) to thats running squid proxy server to be authenticated to a windows 2000 domain.
Can I install samba from rpms or do have to install from sources and with some configure options????
What is the best way to in this NTLM or smb_auth or????
All help would be great.
