[Samba] SID translation taking inordinate amount of time

I finally got acl support working and now am running it successfully 
with winbind.  The only problem I have now is when I go to 
"properties->permissions" on a file/directory on a Windows box, it takes 
a very long time to look up and translate the SIDs to usernames.  Any 
idea why it would take so long?  This is the case even though I set

winbind cache time = 6000   (just for testing).

Any idea why this would take so long?
