Hello,

I am running smbd version 2.2.3 on Solaris. I have set up a few shares
with user authentication. I have one person that uses Windows 98 and
they are able to map a drive, but when they try to access almost all
files & directories on the shared drive they get an error message "File
not found or does not exist". When I click on the properties for the
file or directory it states 0 bytes in size. I said almost all files 7
directories because there a re a few that they are able to access. I can
not find any difference in file or directory permissions on the files
they can access and files they see as nonexistent. I have checked samba
and the user is mapping the drive with the correct user and groupd IDs.

Windows 2000 users have not problmes what so ever in mapping the drive
an accessing the files on it.

Thanks for any help.

Faruk G.
