[Samba] "admin user =" problems

Hello!

 

    A good day to you all. i am testing samba 2.2.3a on an rh 7.3 linux box with windows 2000 as client. i noticed that the admin user parameter doesn't seem to work; i.e. when i specify any user other than root, i cannot seem to join a w2k machine into the domain. 

   Another thing i noticed is that, when logged on as the domain admin, i don't seem to have admin rights to the local computer. Is this normal?
