[Samba] IPC$ share

First of all, I read some posts, so I know what this share is for.

I have two supposedly identical Samba servers on different Linux machines.  They're both 2.2.0 because that's what came with the distribution.

On one, the IPC$ share is constantly connected, but on the other, it isn't (so far at least).

What triggers this share to connect?  Both machines are in the same NT domain, and security seems to be working properly, as near as I can tell.
