Just avoided...
I don't download drivers anyway....although I wish I could.

BTW, the error message I descibed is in the smb.conf html doc under the
description for
"disable spoolss"

I also got a reply from someone (don't have the reply handy) that
mentioned changing the
"use client driver" parameter setting although I left mine at its default.
