[Samba] pwdMustChange ignored in Samba 2.2.5, SAMBA_2_2?

When domain users login to XP, they are told their password "expires
today."  Every time they login.

The values of pwdLastSet and pwdMustChange and pwdCanChange don't seem
to have any affect on this, which seems wrong.

Is this a known bug?   How to proceed?
