another possibility, ... (I don't know other Linux Distribution).
If you are using RH7.2 or RH7.3, there is a .html book at this
location /usr/share/swat/using_samba/index.html 

Hopefully, this will help you to start with. Otherwise, you have to
explain more clearly.
