[Samba] password problem

Dear Samba user group,

I have SWAT virtually configured... when setting my browser there, it comes
up with a password prompt.  If I enter my own account/password, it comes up
fine, but does not have buttons for shares and printers.

If I try to come in as root it always rejects it... even though I know what
the unix pwd is and have also set the same pwd using "smbpasswd -a root".
Any ideas how I can log in as root and/or get the share button to come up in
SWAT?
