| I'm a newbie to Linux so could you teach me how do I network Linux
with Windows XP. PLEASe

(# indicates commands following should be run as root on the command
line, $ indicates they can be run as a normal user)

# urpmi samba samba-client linneighborhood webmin

# smbpasswd -a <user>

$ man smb.conf

# kate /etc/samba/smb.conf

# service smb start

$ smbclient -L localhost

$ smbclient //localhost/$user

$ mkdir /tmp/smbmount

$ smbmount //localhost/$user /tmp/smbmount

$ ls /tmp/smbmount

$ smbumount /tmp/smbmount

https://localhost:10000

http://www.mandrakeuser.org/connect/csamba.html

That should be enough for now.
