[Samba] freezed application

Hi all,

I've got a problem with samba and a windows application which
gets the data from a samba share.

Sometimes if the users selects the addressbook in his application,
it freezes. At the same time appears a "connection reset by peer" in
the log.smbd.

If the filesharing server is a windows machine the application doesn't
lock, so I think it's a samba issue.

Some information:
The clients are windows 98 machines
The server is a linux pc with kernel 2.4.9 and samba 2.2.1a
Other network applications ( mail, web, ssh, telnet ) have no problems.
The oplocking feature is disable.

Any hints, pointer, solutions or possibilites to get further information about
this problem are welcome.
