There is noe quicker way. Sorry, but the encryption is incompatible. 
You could try crack or brute force cracking, but I dout if this is 
quicker.

But:
look at man smb.conf "update encrypted". You will have to run 
plaintext passwords for a while to use it.

Are you switching form an NT server to samba? I think I have read 
about a tool that transferes the NT passwords to samba on this list.
