[Samba] Backup software

To the best of my knowledge their is not an OpenSource backup method that will =
backup the ACLs on the client.

If your clients are using FAT, then you have no problems.

If they are running NTFS on the clients, then you have ACLs to worry about, and =
you will have to decide if you need the ACLs backed up up or not.

i.e. ACLs are the NTFS security info. =20

Note: Samba ACLs can be backed up if you ensure you are running the right =
backup software like star or xfsdump.
