Will this release include the reintroduction of the "share modes" option, 
which as Jeremy stated some time ago:

This option, when used wisely on read-only shares, prevents many oplock 
problems I've been experiencing since moving up from the 1.9.xx release 
some time ago.

I also suggested some time ago:
