[Samba] smb mount not working

Hi,

I am using Samba 2.2.3a on RH Linux7.2.

When i mount the NT share on Linux7.2 it shows the
foll error:-
smbmnt failed: no such file or directory found 

The command which i used was:
mount -t smbfs -o username=xyz,password=abc
//machinename/share /mnt/c

if there is any other way in which this is possible
please let me know.
