Hi

I would like to access Windows NT machines from Linux machine. I have samba
running on linux machine. (Hope this is first step to do my task).

First i am trying to add the Samba server(linux) to the Windows NT domain.
For this i need to execute ( according samba documentation )

root# smbpasswd -j DOM -r DOMPDC

Here DOM will be the NetBIOS name of Windows NT server machine. Can i know
how will i get this name? Is it same as the machine name?

I am bit puzzled with redundant info in samba documentation. I will really
appreciate if somebody can give me few steps and guidelines for accessing NT
machine from samba server.

Thanks,
Sreenidhi
