Printer error on client machines

I have a Samba 2.2.1a server setup to serve out a Espon Stylus 600 
printer.  I can connect to the printer from Win2k and WinME machines and 
add the printer to those machines.  I have also been able to upload drivers 
to the server from a Win2k machine without any problems.  The problem is 
that when you click on the printer in the Printers folder of the client 
machines it shows the status as Error.  If you try to print to the printer 
the client machine does not give you any error messages or anything but the 
job never prints.  I do not believe that the print job is even being sent 
to the print server.
