This error string:
error string = not owner

I am the owner and samba can authenticate me....
We are using NIS+, but for samba we are using smbpasswd.
Could there be a problem that the teachers is in another NIS+domain?
We have the NIS+domain for the students to do a lookup in the NIS+domain
for the teachers so the teachers can log on to machines in NIS+domain for
students.
