stub received bad data

Hi,
I'm trying to use Samba 2.2.1a (SuSE 7.2) as a PDC  with W2K workstations.
Most of it is working well.  Except for:
USRMGR.EXE - unusable. Reports "The stub received bad data" when trying to
connect to the domain. 

SRVMGR.EXE - Connects to domain. Shows all entities in domain and properties
of them. If I select <synchronize domain> on the Samba PDC it gives error
"The procedure number is out of range."

Exchange Server 5.5 on W2K server - When creating a new mailbox and trying
to select the associated NT account, the list of accounts is not returned.
Error is "Unable to browse the selected domain because the following error
occured: The stub recieved bad data".   

Any information on these errors would be greatly appreciated.
