Fabio,
post your smb.conf, and what version of samba you are using. Also, since
you said you disabled encrytpion on NT, you are probably expecting the user
and password in /etc/passwd to be the one you are authenticating against.
To do this, you must have security=user, and encrypt passwords = no in your
smb.conf file.

I have a big problem !!! My Windows NT workstation connects to Samba
server (Solaris 2.7), but can't authenticate.
Already disabled the encryption of Windows NT, but the error
continue.The message that is shown in the pop up box is the following:
Incorrect username or password
The password both servers are syncronizeds.
