The trouble is, until this gets merged into Linus's 2.4.x, then compiling
Samba with quota support is *completely* broken. I don't see how this can
get fixed for 2.2.2.

If you're running a Linus kernel on RH7.1, and your /usr/include/linux
isn't pointing to /usr/src/linux-2.4.9, then you get compilation errors.
With the RH 7.1 ship, /usr/include/sys/quota.h still refers to dqblks,
which just doesn't work on a RH7.1 kernel. The man page for quotactl on
RH7.1 referrs to the new struct mem_dqblk, which doesn't exist in the
/usr/include/sys/quota.h....

This is a *mess*. How did it get shipped like this ?
