Wade,

While logged in as root do a locate swat | more.

you should see swat located in /usr/sbin/swat for Redhat 7.1. If you find it there change your swat configuration file to point to that.

  Hello,

Thanks for the reply, but I have the /etc/xinetd.d/swat file pointing to the swat binary, disable = no, so that shouldn't be the problem. What I believe the problem might be is where the swat binary is looking for the swat dir. I think I need to move it somewhere, but I'm not sure where.

  Thanks for the time,

  Wade

have you modified xinetd.conf to allow the service to run? Mail me back if you need instructions. Just a thought!

  Regards,

  Greg.

    Hello all,cd sam

I have done the research, but turning up no working options on getting swat running. I get a '400 server error, chdir failed'. Can anyone tell me where I need to have the swat files in order to make it work? Running RH7.1, samba_2_2 CVS.

    Thanks,

    Wade
