RawHide linux has compiled an RPM (ftp://ftp.rpmfind.net/linux/rawhide/1.0/alpha/RedHat/RPMS/samba-2.2.2-1.alpha.rpm) -- as to whether it will work with RH 7.1 -- who knows?  RPMFind is a tremendous resource, btw.

You _could_ always download the tarball or src rpm...
