Win2k share: permission denied

Hi,

I just set up my samba 2.2.1a in a mixed Win2k (servers and
WorkStations), NT 4, Novell and Linux environment. It runs smoothly
relying on a win2k PDC for authentication, allowing winXX users to map
their Linux home folders, except for the following 2 quirks:

1-

The linux box has a /home main folder where all the users home folders
are kept. The box is part of a domain and is relying on the PDC for
authentication. Users can map (using a right-click on My Netwsork Places
and selecting the appropriate server and share). It works but the mapped
drive points the entire /home folder. Users can only see their own
drive, but the mapping still maps at the /home level. How do I get the
server to map at the /home/username level?

2-

When on the linux box, as root I can smbmount win2k shares but as soon
as the share is mounted, it becomes invisible (doing an "ls" gives:
permission denied)

I use:

smbmount //server/share mountpoint -o username=ShareUserName

and supply the password when prompted. mount occurs but, no can see!

Thank you.
