International chars in server string

How do I get Samba (2.2.2) to show international chars in the server string 
parameter in [global]? 

File names are fine with current setup (character set, client code page), but 
in the browse lists my Norwegian characters show up wrong, only for the 
server string. The comments for share names are OK.
