Question about ldap

David,

Other than samba-tng, I have not found any other ldap schema that are used
by samba other than sambaAccount. And, _please_ someone correct me if I'm
wrong, Samba 2.2.2 does not yet have, ldap or not, true domain groups or
unix-to-domain group mappings, except for the domain admin group.

Since I also use LDAP for unix authentication, I just use the posixGroup
schema for groups. These groups are effectively local unix groups, but using
smb.conf share settings like "valid users = @somegroup" and "force group =
+somegroup" produces good results.

HTH,
Doug
