Thats how we got into this mess in the first place...

I took a look at the RedHat RPM and decided I liked the idea, but there
were reasons for not going the whole way.  (I can't remember them
exactly, and I wasn't on the team back then).  But I did patch it up to
use make installman installcp so that we would not need to maintain a
list of manpages/codepages in both the Makefile and .spec file.

Unfortunetly I only defined the variables that were needed for those
activies, I wasn't counting on a Makefile stuffup.  (and thats all my
'fix' was: defining SBINDIR)
