large files

	Yes, this is at least part of it, I have downloaded and installed MC 4.5.55
from debian and it must have been compiled with --enable-largefile, since
then I can see some large files on my directories.

	I'm using a 2.4.9 kernel downloaded from debian and my glibc... (I must say
I'm a bit newbie at this, I understand enough C to read the code, but don't
comprehend exactly the whole picture of linux) so when you say glibc I don't
know if you mean libc5 (It's 5.4.46), libc6 (mine is 2.2.4) or libglib1.2
(which is 1.2.8-helix1). By the way, previous to mc 4.5.55 installation I
had to download and install
libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-0.011006_i386.deb... perhaps it interferes in
all this?
