%U in share name

ok.  I just tried something very similar to this using a Win2k SP2
client and a SAMBA_2_2 cvs PDC.

        logon path = \\POGO\profile\%U

[profile]
        path = /export/ntprofile
        read only = no
        create mask = 0600
        directory mask = 0700

I also tried creating a simple share

[home-%U]
        path = /home/pogo/%U
        read only = no

and it worked fine as well.   Still trying to reproduce this....
