Thanks Jerry,

I have the printer working fine now (was pretty easy with O'Reilly's book :)
but I would still apreciate to have the clients downloading the drivers
since I have quite few machines to visit for the migration.

An "addprinter command" is a custom script that you have to right.
What you need to do is to create a print service in smb.conf.
Installing the printer drivers for download by clients is step #2
