Accessing Powerflex data files

Hi
I have a redhat linux IBM server running the latest SAMBA (2.2.2).
Some data files for a Powerflex, or PFXplus, application reside on a 
share with file locking on, oplocks off. However I still get constant 
index file errors, which the developer assures me is due to file 
locking issues. They claim a large number of sites running NT 
server based sites without an issue.

Any ideas, anyone, please? Help?
