I hope this is the right forum to post this question...
I'm new to Samba, our Samba group disappeared last week
and I'm left to continue development. We use Samba 2.0.7
ported to our servers (not Unix or Linux); here is the problem:

The PDC is a NT Server, the box running Samba should not
try to be a PDC...
If I start Samba after the PDC is up, everything is fine...
However, if I try to reboot the PDC while my Samba server
is running, the NT Server complains that there is another
PDC and refuses to start-up its PDC services...
Here are a few debug messages that might provide
some insight (DEBUGLEVEL=3)

  8 10:27:59 D Host [72]: create_server_on_workgroup: Created server
entry DIR01063 of type 40009003 (Samba 2.0.7) on workgroup OR-OMNEON.
  8 10:27:59 D Host [72]: initiate_myworkgroup_startup: Added server
name entry DIR01063 on subnet 10.1.1.239
  8 10:27:59 D Host [72]: add_name_to_subnet: Added netbios name *<00>
with first IP 10.1.1.239 ttl=0 nb_flags= 0 to subnet UNICAST_SUBNET
  8 10:27:59 D Host [72]: add_name_to_subnet: Added netbios name *<20>
with first IP 10.1.1.239 ttl=0 nb_flags= 0 to subnet UNICAST_SUBNET
  8 10:27:59 D Host [72]: add_name_to_subnet: Added netbios name
__SAMBA__<20> with first IP 10.1.1.239 ttl=0 nb_flags= 0 to subnet UNICAS

thanks a lot, alex
