Well, Javid,
AFAIK, you CAN't. all the case options with samba deal with FILE and
DIRECTORY names
IN a share. The sharename itself is NOT case sensitive. In fact, if you
look at a
wire trace, you will see that the sharename is sent all in upper case
(despite what
your explorer window shows you...)
Hope this helps,
Don

Subject: case in naming share
Hi
I am having problems with naming share ( case )
the unix side share name is /opt/template
and there is another share on unix side /opt/Template
how would i configure samba to make sure it see "template" and "Template"
differently
right now whenever i map from windows( as template or Template ) it goes
to /opt/template only.
i tried following options
[Template]
path = /opt/Template
case sensitive = yes
short preserve case = yes
preserver case = yes
[template]
path = /opt/template
case sensitive = yes
short preserve case = yes
preserver case = yes
thanks in advance
