Folder Redirection

I'm trying to get folder redirection to work with
SAMBA 2.2.1a as a PDC.  I'm starting to understand
that folder redirection is a function of active
directory and will not work if the only domain
controller is SAMBA.  Can anyone confirm this?  If my
assumption is true, can you recommend a work around?
