Hello,

You could try ACL support. It's like quotas, depends on kernel support,
filesystem type and so on.

I've made some tests with kernel 2.4.9 and patched ext2 filesystem for ACL
support and that was working normally.

Look at http://acl.bestbits.at for more info.

cheers
Gustavo

Subject: NT groups

Hello,

My customer wishes to transfer files from NT to Unix under Samba. The
problem is these files have a lot of permisions for NT groups. Do you know a
way to keep these NT group permissions on Unix files without recreating
groups under Unix ?

Our Samba server is on Solaris 7, in the NT domain (security = domain) and
not the PDC.

Thanks for your answer and many thanks for your work
Laurent
