I am no expert but you sound desperate.
I am reasonably good with LPRng and ghostscript. If that is what your samba 
box is using, I can probably help you out.
Basically, you can set up two printer queues on your samba server, with
different paper sizes specified in the print filter for each queue.
Forget about graphical configuration tools in this sort of situation. They
have NEVER helped me.
