I used the swat status screen to determine who was still logged into a
share and used that to idsconnect those who were using the files I was
trying to maintain.

I also build 2.2.2 with the experimental utmp support and I was able to
kill selected smbd processes by looking at output from the w command in
linux.

I think the swat approach is probably closer to the way novell does
things (I've run novell systems too).
