samba compiling error--values-Xa.o...

This is compiler error, change the compiler and make sure all the necessary
packages are installed for compiling

ld is linker, check if ld is installed and its in your path

Hi All,

I am trying to compile Samba 2.2.2 on solaris 8 on sparc with gcc
compiler version 3.0.2, it gives compilation errors like this....

configure:758: checking for gcc
configure:871: checking whether the C compiler (gcc -O  ) works
configure:887: gcc -o conftest -O    conftest.c  1>&5
ld: fatal: file values-Xa.o: cannot open file: No such file or directory
ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to conftest
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
configure: failed program was:

main(){return(0);}              

Any body has any idea about this.....
