Samba 2.0.7 for IRIX

Hi there,

I am running Samba 2.0.7 for IRIX 6.2 (SGi Indy)
but I can not print to a remote SMB printer.
I followed the instructions on smbprint file
(smbprint.sysv) but it did not work. 
System receives e-mail with the following error message: 

"error code 1 in request debianjet2-17 on printer debianjet2.
Check /var/spool/lp/log on the printer host"

Remote system is an AlphaXP running Debian Linux 2.2r2 and
Samba 2.0.7 and a local Laserjet printer (debianjet2 : lp).

Am I missing something on smbprint.sysv procedure ?
Printcap does not help either.
