smbpasswd is missing

The install routine couldn't do more than install a black smbpasswd 
file with a comment (and the comment is in the docu):
You only need the smbpasswd file if you use encrypted passwords with 
samba. In this case use the command "smbpasswd -a user" to add users 
to the smbpasswd file. I hope this creates the file if it is missing. 
If not, mail me an I will tell you more.
