Why is Win98 looking for user "nobody"?

I do have a couple of "guest ok = yes" shares, 2 printers and a drive. The
Win2K client is currently using only 1 of the printers, but apparently that
is enough to have it poll the Samba server every half-hour.

So. Given that I want guest shares, my course of action should be to
define a dummy user and map the dummy user to guest? Does the dummy users
have to be a Samba user or is it enough that it be a vaiid Linux account?

Thanks.
