evaluate a variable in smb.conf

Please be more specific. What do you mean by:
"I can write" or "I cannot write".
What is the actual problem? What have you already done (You referred to
tests you performed in your first post on this problem.) What value is %u
providing for you. %u is supposed to be the name of the user in the share,
whereas U is the name the user tries to get.
