smb Process Problem

I have a Solaris 8 server running Samba and I am seeing an smb process
using a lot of CPU time:

nobody 14408 217 22 12:56:04 ? 4:27 /usr/local/samba/bin/smbd -D

I have been hunting around but cannot find the reason for this. I can
literally sit here and watch it clock up and up until I kill it, it
respawns automatically and begins accumulating time again. Does anyone
have any idea why??

Thanks in advance,

Sam
