Winbind: smbpasswd can't join

To all those following my saga:

I left the samba server out of the domain over lunch and it's still on the Server Manager screen.  I'll try and join it now:

[root at NetServer samba]# smbpasswd -j BIO2RES -r DOMAIN-CONTROL -U Administrator
Password: 
Error connecting to DOMAIN-CONTROL
Unable to join domain BIO2RES.

Still no luck...
