nis password file -> smbpasswd?

I have the same problem with Openldap.
Samba take all my users from posixaccount into the LDAP tree but don' t take
care of the password field.I have to reenter all the passorwds of the users !!!
I think cracking is not a solution effectively ... the passwords into LDAP tree 
are stored in crypted format, no?
