to creae the smbpasswd file with all disabled accounts you can use a
little skript shipped with the samba source. To get the encrypted
passwords into smbpasswd you have to re-enter all user passwords! But
samba can help you there: set "update encrypted = yes" in smb.conf
and run your site with plaintext passwords for a wheile. look at man
smb.conf about this parameter.
exept cracking the unix/nis passwords there is NO automatic way to
generate the encrypted passwords form them!
