Sorry, if I ask a question, which was already answered:

Different W98Clients & a Linux Server using the latest stable Samba release.

The logon procedure fails, in the log.nmb I found the following message:

...process_logon_packet(70) code=0x0...

Is this a error message ? What's wrong ?

Hint: 
- smb.conf: with "security = share" the SMB-functionality is o.k. !
- W98-Registry: I didn't forget "EnablePlainTextPassword=1"
- /etc/hosts: all hosts are there !
- the known procedures with "smbclient ..." are done !
